Spent the morning adventuring and taking photos with Stephanie. Was little bit cold at first but once the sun came out it was really nice. Hoping to have some more mildly cool November days before the dreaded snow hits. Though I must admit I am looking forward to seeing the landscape change and to photograph some snowflakes.
I took photos of Dina this cold November morning at Fort Williams in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. I wasn’t the only one with the idea to shoot at Fort Williams though, because when I got to the Fort I saw another photographer just finishing up their shoot. This week is supposed to warm up again to the 50’s, but I can already feel the harsh cold of winter creeping it.
I took a walk around the East End of Portland today. It was a nice Halloween day and it wasn’t too cold out to walk around comfortably in a couple of layers. The leaves that are still up are brilliant oranges and reds.
Winter is just around the corner and I am not ready at all. I must say that I have been enjoying this fall weather though. Spring and Fall are by far my favorite seasons. The weather is just right in Maine, not too cold and not too hot. As the years go by I find myself disliking winter more and more. Don’t get me wrong, I love the way snow looks when it first falls and covers the Maine landscape, but driving through the snow trying to make it to work in one piece is not something I enjoy. I saw the first few flurries of snow fall this afternoon. I’m hoping to travel south this winter for a least a few weeks. See some new landscapes and some new faces and escape the snow for as long as possible.
